Korte & Luitjohan Contractors, Inc. is looking for an experienced Shop & Yard Laborer to

join our team!

Our SHOP/YARD LABORER supports daily operations by handling equipment and materials, performing basic mechanical and cleaning tasks, and maintaining organization across the shop and yard. Responsibilities include hauling trailers, transporting equipment, picking up parts, performing basic mechanical tasks (greasing, cleaning, fluid checks)

A high school diploma or GED equivalent and valid driver’s license are required.  You must be able to lift 50lbs or more and work in all weather conditions.

Experience using cutting torches, welders, and plasma cutters is preferred.  Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus, however, training is available if needed.

Pay: $19 to $21/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift

Korte & Luitjohan Contractors, Inc. is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to

join our team!

Our HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC is responsible for safely diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining construction vehicles and equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, brake, fuel, and HVAC systems. You will weld, fabricate, and assemble/disassemble components as required. You will also be estimating labor hours and parts needed for repairing equipment. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient job site operations.

Strong knowledge of diagnostics and repair of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems; the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams; and experience operating electronic diagnostic tools are required.

A high school diploma or GED equivalent, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record are required. You must be able to lift 75lbs or more and work in all weather conditions.

ASE Certification, HVAC Certification, and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) are preferred.

Pay: $40 – $45/hour (based on experience and training)

join our team!

We’re looking for a PROJECT MANAGER to become a part of K&L’s next exciting chapter. Our PROJECT MANAGER ensures construction projects are executed precisely and efficiently. By acting as key liaison between K&L, clients/owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, our PROJECT MANAGER fosters positive relationships while driving projects to successful completion in a timely manner.

You will:

Collaborate with and guide Assistant Project Managers to manage multiple construction projects through the design-bid-build construction cycle ensuring every project phase aligns with timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.

Coordinate project activities with project superintendents, client/owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Manage project budget and resources (including materials, labor, and equipment) to ensure projects stay within their financial goals.

Oversee overall project quality assurance and compliance.

You are required to have:

A Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.

5 years of experience in project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong computer skills, including competency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word and document management/organization; proficiency in construction management software (e.g., HeavyBid, Procore). 

Strong understanding of industry regulations and safety standards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrable problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Either of these certifications would be preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

Salary Range: $100,000 to $135,000/year
