The City of Roxana, Illinois selected Korte & Luitjohan Contractors, Inc. as the General Contractor to manage the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in Roxana, Illinois.  The new plant consists of a 3,700 square foot office/garage building, a 1,200 square foot blower/chemical building, and a 4,040 square foot sludge storage canopy. Additional components of the plant include four sand drying beds, one cylinder fine screen, two 50 foot diameter clarifiers, an aerobic digester, two biolac basins, a Ultra Violet (UV) system, and five pump stations.

The office building features a laboratory used to test water samples to ensure effective treatment, two offices, a break room and restrooms. The attached garage accommodates equipment and tractors used on the site.
