City of Mt. Olive
Completion Date
In 2015, Korte & Luitjohan Contractors, Inc., completed the 8-month construction of the new Mt. Olive City Hall.
Because of Mt. Olive’s prior tornadic experiences, this brick building with full basement is designed to withstand storm damaging winds and is equipped with back-up power generator. The ground floor and basement are both 5,201 square feet, and the attached two-bay garage is 1,171 square feet.
Housed in this building are the Police Station with holding area, the 550-square foot Mother Jones Museum, the Mayor’s office, the Township office, the Assessor’s office, and the City Council conference room. The full basement contains a record retention area and houses the mechanical requirements. Additional features of the building include outside stairs to access the basement, inside stairs and an ADA lift.
